Hallo,
we have a Polycom HDX 7000 with a Polycom HDX Table Microphone Array.
The Polycom HDX Table Microphone Array is of course connected to the VC tower. There is another connection possibility on the microphone directly with a cover...what can this be used for? Can we connect another microphone (same model) to extend to coverage in a big room?
Thank You

As noted on the installation directions and in other documentation the HDX 7000 can support 2 of the HDX microphone arrays, tabletop or ceiling.
The first must be connected to the codec and has a limitation of 100' using the CLink connection. The additional microphone arrays connect to the first one via the other connector, and has a maximum length of 25'.
It does not matter which one is used as the connection to the codec and connection to the other microphone arrays.
When dealing with the Walta connector, also referred to as a mini-VGA connector, make sure you have the orientation of the cable proper. One side has rounded corners, whereas the other side has squared corners.
