Hello,

I have a Polycom HDX7000. Currently when overseas users call the device, it is required for a person in the Australia office to pick up the call for a conference to happen with an Australian user. If no one in the Australia office picks up the phone, it will just continue ringing.

Is it possible to setup a 'meeting room' feature where multiple overseas users who call to conference with each other (and not Australia users) can do so with a password for security. This 'meeting room' feature will also not require an Australian user to answer for the conferencing to happen.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Kind Regards,

Aaron

Hi ateh...

this is not possible. A workaround would be, to enable the "auto answer" option for Point-2-Point and Multipoint calls.

In the audio settings, you should also enable the microphone mute on auto answer.

In the security settimgs, set a meeting password (info here, page 183).

In this case no Australian user would have to answer the call manually.

A password meeting room is a mcu feature. You could have a look at the Polycom RealPresence Collaboration server (RMX series).
