Hello,

I have a Polycom RealPresenece Desktop client installed in PC behind a TMG 2010 Server. and we need to configure access rule to enable this client to start any Audio/video Call to External video conference Devices outside our company.

  • I disabled the H.323 filter
  • opened the below Protocols/ports From Desktop client to External:-
  1. TCP/1720 H.323
  2. TCP/5060 SIP
  3. TCP/3230-3237

but unfortunately I still can't start any A/V Call to any external VC devices. it seems that there a problem with NATing. so please could anyone advise what the needed configuration in TMG to make this call started successfully?

note:- when i opened all oubound traffic to external, the call is started but the media is not working.

Regards,

Hi

1)You have to open following ports (for H323 calls):

Inbound Ports:

1720 (TCP) H.323 Signaling
3230 - 3329 (TCP) Call Signaling
3230 - 3237 (UDP) Media (RTP/RTCP)

Outbound Ports (destination ports)

1720 (TCP) H.323 Signaling
1000 -  65535 TCP\UDP Call Signaling, Media (RTP/RTCP) Dinamics ports, they depends on remote system.

2) Keep in mind, the RealPresenece Desktop doesn't have NAT settings, perhaps it will not be able to work behind NAT.
