I work for a large university providing IT solutions to every day problems such as video conferencing on the go but recently have had problems getting Polycom Telepresence m100 working with Microsoft Windows 8.

I get video but no sound on the several systems I've tested with. We are using Version 1.0.5 and as I can see from the release notes there is no mention of windows 8.

Windows 8 is the OS we are purchasing and rolling out to all our customers so this lack of support has a direct effect on purchasing of PolyCom equipment and software.

At the moment we are recommending customers use google video services to conduct conferences which is not ideal. I would love to give our customers an enterprise level solution such as PolyCom but my hands are tied.

Can a PolyCom representative please provide us with a date when support will be added.

Hello SebDooris,

The Real Presence Desktop Software supports Windows 8.
