Hello!

We're using Polycom Trio 8800, VisualPro, EagleEye IV 12x, all running latest software releases, camera presets for focusing meeting paricipiants manually, works properly.

Special user request:
User wants to show the local talking participiant (manually focused) and the local chairman (manually focused) permanently, so that meeting participiants on the other side will see both, the talking participiant and the chairman simultaeously (e.g. picture-in-picture)

Is there a way to solve that request, e.g.

  • Additional USB camera focusing the chairman permanently, VisualPro/Trio 8800 merges both videostreams?
  • EagleEye Director II, camera presets for right and left camera, EEDII merges videostreams of right and left camera?
  • Other solutions?

Thanks!

Hi @ LeoK,

yes, the only way in your VC setting is an EE Director II. With this camera you are able to focus the active speaker and in parallel, but in a smaller window (not 50:50 or something), the whole group which sits in front of the cam.

Hello @LeoK ,

Welcome back to the Poly community.

Stating the latest software does not help others when finding this post in days, weeks, months, or years to come as they do not know what software mentioned was current at the time of writing.

Please therefore always post the exact complete build-id for all devices used.

We also do not know what call server is being used, but to my own personal knowledge, I could not think of a way to do this.

I suggest you work with a Poly reseller and/or get this into support.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards
