Polycom gs 500 registration failed from external

i

i have polycom gs 500 and i am trying to sign in with skype for busness user from external network (public ) 

but i am getting registration failed .

 

when i am connecting the gs 500 to internal network i am able to sign in 

 

1. Do i need  sertificate ? and whet kind of certificate , wild card ssl ?

 

this is how i configured :

 

sip server configuration :Specify

transport protocol :Auto

Bfcp transport preference :prefer udp

sign in address:conf@domain.com

user name:conf@domain.com

password :******

register server: sip.domain.com (my edge access address)

register server type:Microsoft

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Must Read First" and is the absolute minimum requirement every new post should include. .

In addition providing us with this basic information gives Polycom an idea what Software Versions are used in the field and avoids wasting time trying to troubleshoot issues which have already been addressed.

My software version is 5.1.2-320034

Model : Real presense Group 500

 

 my question was

1.can i connect it from External network and not only inside my Lan 

 

2. do i need Certificate and what kind of certificate

Hello Roei,

5.1.2 should be compatible with Skype for Business on premise. 

 

Does your Skype for business client work without importing a certificate? I would suggest you check the logs of the Group Series or if you struggle with this post them here or open a service ticket with your Polycom reseller.

Does the GS 500 able to Register from Public network not LAN (Internal netwrok) or not ?
