Ok, here's the deal. User got a new computer (Windows 7, 64bit) and when I tried to install CMAD (latest version directly from polycom) it gave me a message that it needed to install Adobe Air. Ok, no problem, I left it go to Adobe's site and I did the intsall, but after it finished the installer kept reporting that it needed to install Adobe Air. Went to Adobe's site again and launched the installer but it reported that Air was already installed.

I've uninstalled and re-installed Air several times now and no matter what I do the CMAD installer always reports it as needing to be installed and I can't continue with the CMAD install. Any ideas how to proceed?

Hello skk,

welcome to the Polycom Community and I have moved your CMAD post to the correct section.

There already have been various post's covering this issue in the community and you should contact your Polycom reseller to request a HotFix from Polycom for this issue.

So the hotfix isn't available anywhere on Polycom's site?

Sorry for posting in the wrong section, I just posted where I saw another post with a similar issue (but on Mac OS).

Hello skk,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

I have not moved the other post yet but will do so.

Yes, to my knowledge , you will need to raise this via your Polycom reseller.

Hi,

it feels like I am doing Polycom's job, given the lack of specifics from the previous poster...

In any case, I had the same issue with the installation of CMA, and was able to get a solution from some Polycom representative over the phone. Basically, you have to downgrade Adobe AIR to version 4...

here is what I was told:

Here is the workaround to install the CMA Desktop client.

1. Remove Adobe Air 13.x
2. Install Adobe AIR v4.0
3. Install CMAD v5.2.5 or M100 client
4. If during install of CMAD/M100, AIR prompts for newer version - IGNORE
5. After install of CMAD v5.2.5/M100 if AIR prompts for newer version, ok to upgrade.

This will allow you to install CMA desktop, but (as I have stated in another discussion) I have yet to be able to place a call...

Hello sergiomf,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

I have removed your link from your post as this Link is not intended for public broadcasting.

As a professional organisation we need to ensure that we keep track of the distribution of any files and I therefore explained that a End User needs to contact their Polycom reseller.

If there is no current relationship or current maintenance contract I would suggest to contact Polycom directly so we can provide this patch on an individual bases.
