Hello,

I have 8 Polycom HDX 7000's on my campus LAN.  Its all working ok but sometimes the picture freezes for a few seconds during a conference.

How much bandwidth should i be keeping on each router for Q.O.S, i.e would 2MB per site be enough?

Is Q.O.S configuration on each router the best way to solve this?

All the sites have at least 200MB links between them.

regards,

Kevin

Hello Kevin,

the Admin Guide for the HDX matching you software version contains a Specifying Quality of Service section and a Call Speeds and Resolutions section.

If you are only making 2MB calls then you would reserve this value.

Best Regards

you can create voice/video vlan and enable Q.O.S on that and set  priorty for video/video data on that VLAN instead to reserve bandwidth
