I'd like advise on how to dial a G500 from a RealPresence Trio, considering that the Trio is a SIP Only device.

Hello Ken,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used Software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

Please also include if you are using other Polycom Infrastructure like an DMA / RPRM / RMX etc.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

To answer your actual question the GroupSeries also supports SIP and a simple call between the two units can simply use their individual IP addresses.

The same would be applicable for example for a call from the RealPresence Trio to a RealPresence Desktop client.

Thanks for your feedback.

Kindly confirm that the Trio can dial directly the IP address of G-Series endpoint.

Hello Ken or Kay,

I replied with a couple of questions as well which so far you have not replied to.

If the GroupSeries is registered to a SIP server you need to dial it as useragent@FQDN_orDomain

Not sure what the use case of the above would be but it works.

If you just enable SIP without registering to a server you can dial the IP alone.
