Hi,

 

   We have installed the Realpresence Desktop spoftware into our Citrix XenDesktop 7 infrastructure.

 

Everything registers correctly and I can hear audio without issues.

 

The webcam recognises that there is a "Citrix HDX Webcam" available to use, though does not display any image.

- This same webcam works without issue when using the "Adobe Connect" software..

 

 

Any thoughts/pointers appreciated.

To my knowledge virtual machines / thin clients are not supported.

   Thanks for the reply. Would you know please if there is an official stance on Citrix support?

 

Other applications that utilise the webcam work without issue (eg Adobe connect) though they are explicitly listed as having Citrix support.

Is there a stance on the codec that the software uses, minum resolution, colour depth, bitrate, bandwidth?

- When installing the app complains if the colour depth is not 32bit but other than that I can't seem to locate any information.

 

In testing the webcam partially works, the remote end (non Citrix) is able to see the citrix user's face/webcam content but not the other way around.

- ie - it is simply the rendering of video at the citrix end that fails.

- Voice/Audio works without issue in both directions.

Sorry todig up an oldpost but as my own post doesnt seem to be garnering any traction.
