Realpresence Group 500 with Skype for Business interop license - best bandwidth setup

Hi All,

we are working fine with all our endpoints and Skype for Business (Office 365 on Cloud release), but i am wondering if i can increase audio quality of the Skype Meetings working on the bandwidth of the call (sometime we experiment some issues). At the moment i fixed the dialing preferred speed at 1024 both for placed and received calls to avoid any impact on company network and so also to avoid audio quality problems due to bandwith network saturation: we have many endpoints and we are working to create a separeted vlan for videconferences but at the moment we haven't one. 

Any suggestion or best practice? Is it better to increase preferred speed or not?

Hi @FabioBip,

depending on the resolution, SfB "consumes" up to 4Mbit for a call. So yes, you should correct your settings. More info https://docs.microsoft.com/--> SkypeForBusiness > plan your deployment

at the moment i increased the preferred speed up to 2048 for outbound and inbound call: it is working fine both in h323 point to point and with Skype for Business. In my experience more you increase speed more endpoint risks to lose packet. I will keep you update in any case.
