Hai 

       I am Using Polycom 7000 HDX.I Would Like to know weather we can connect the unit to a PC to use it as a webcam.So that i can use it for video chating through yahoo ,skype etc.

I would answer maybe.

 

In theory you could use the HDCI breakout cable. That would give you BNC plus RS232 control. If you had a way to control the camera you could go that route. BNC would give you video. You would need to power the camera via a power supply as well.

 

Once you have that then you would need a video input device like a capture card. Then you potentially could. However you would probably expereince a lot of video lag from the camera itself when going through the capture device.

 

So yes, it may be possible but would not work as desired most likely.
