Just off the top of my head would the Web UI Remote Control emulator work for this?

I have used an IR extender wired into a HDX9000 to control it from location that the ir reciever on camera did not work.  Worked well.

Are you just selecting presets or actual movement of camera?

HP Recommended
no it would be the actual movement of the camera that i am controlling.

I've seen other devices that work nicely with USB IR extenders but that would require the base OS to support their drivers.  Does anyone have any experience of trying these on the HDX/RPG range?

ideally, a joystick controller would be ideal, is there anything like this that i could integrate into my system?

HP Recommended

would it connect to anything like a PTZ controller with the following specs:

Main Protocol: Pelco-D,Pelco-P

Communication mode: RS485 half-duplex   ??
