Hi All,

Recently I’ve bought a used VSX 7000 for private playing and testing.

I would really like to have it working on my broadsoft sip account, unfortunately  the firmware it came with (7.0.x) is a very early stage SIP. can't get it to work.

I've red newer firmware is more compatible. So I tried to upgrade but the system asks for a serial key. I assume this is paid?

I created a user account on polycom.com,  selected activation, looked in tab update but it says available but not entitled.

Is there a way (legal off course) the upgrade to a more SIP compatible firmware with minimum costs?

Thanks in advance,

Warm Regards,

Eddy

that means its out of warranty cover, you can renew the cover IF polycom are still covering what is an end of life system

if so - you pay a reactivation then a warranty cost. probably in excess of what you paid for the codec 🙂

Hi Sharps,

That's a pity, i'm sure these costs will be in excess of what I paid fot the codec.  As you probably know its a wonderfull machine, with great capabillities, a waste to throw it away. But for private purposes is spending 100's to much.

Any other way?
