Hello,

 

This is my first time posting here.

 

Is it possible to integrate our S4B Online to our HDX 8000 ? I've read in the past years on forums that it wasn't supported unless it is On-Prem. Is that still the case ?

 

Any help appreciated

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The release notes for the latest software version or the software version you are currently running are usually the best place to check for such details.

 

  • 3.0.5 Features added to obtain Microsoft® Lync® 2010 client qualification
  • 3.1.2 Features include Microsoft Lync 2013 compatibility

 

Skype for Business is not officially supported and you would need to work with your Polycom reseller to raise a feature request.

Does Polycom HDX 8000 support skype for business?

 

Tried to use it and we unable to join as participant for a Skype for business video conference. The system is limited to a 1 is to 1 Skype for business video call.

The above does not include Skype for Business 2015 or O365


What kind of Skype installation do you have and do you have a license for the HDX?

Thank you so much for your reply. So do you mean that Skype for Business is not yet supported on HDX 8000?

 

Here is the scenario, client have set a room for skype for business and HDX 8000 will join to that room as participant. However, he cannot successfully join to skype for business. Client also said that HDX 8000 has a license for Skype for Business.

 

They also said that it is only working when one is to one on Skype for business.

 

Can you help us about this issue? What other information do we need so that you can verify the issue?

Hello Kier,

 

  • Skype for Business 2015 or Office 365 is not supported on the HDX.
  • There is no Skype for Business License for the HDX.

You can only register a HDX to a LYNC 2010 or LYNC 2013 environment.
