Dear All
I have integrated a Polycom IP Sound Station 7000 with a 7000 HDX video conference device.
When using the Sound Station for telephone calls only the audio out is through the Sound Station only, this is expected and the volume if fine.
When I conference in a telephone call to a video call the output for the call + video expectedly comes through HDX external speaker but the telephone call audio is very much and uncomfortably louder than the video call audio. The Sound Station and HDX master volume is now linked and if I lower the level to make the telephone volume comfortable the video call audio becomes so low it can be barely be heard.
Ideally I'd like to lower the base Sound Station volume when it is linked to an HDX. Can anyone recomend a solution?
Thanks,
Stuart.
Hello Stuart,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
It is always useful to include the currently used software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.
This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.
Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:
Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here
The same is applicable for the HDX.
The HDX release notes usually state what recommended Software Version you should use in conjunction with a SSIP7000.
I would suggest HDX 3.0.x or HWX 3.1.x and SSIP7000 UCS 4.0.7
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hi Steffen,
Yes of course.
On the Sound Station I have Updater v5.0.2 and UC release 4.0.7.
On the HDX I have v3.1.5.
The latest release in both cases.
Thanks,
Stuart.
