Hi,

I bought a used Polycom HDX 8000. It has software v3.0.0.1 on it.

I would like to upgrade it to v.3.1.1.2

 

Can I do this for free or do I need to purchase a new license?

Yes, you will need an active support contract to be able to upgrade your system to 3.1.1.2.

Anytime the number on either side of the first 'dot' changes it is a CFS, Charge For Software, upgrade.

 

You can upgrade to software for free as long as the number on either side of the first dot does not change, so you can upgrade to 3.0.5 for free.
