Users Reporting that the cannot leave Zoom Breakout Rooms

I have a poly com that connects to a zoom session the judge sets up.
Judge will move them to a breakout room.
The asterisk they think they should be pushing to level the breakout room is greyed out.

The have to hang up and call in again.

Advice, ideas - greatly appreciated.
