Hi everyone,

My company has a set of VSX-7000 with 4-site MPPlus activated. During a transport accident, the camera/codec was comletely destroy & could not be repaired. We're still keeping the broken codec with s/n, p/n but we dont have the 4-site mpplus license which already applied to it. We also have other 3 sets VSX-7000 single-site fully working.

Now the question, Is there anyway to retrieve the 4-site MPPlus key in the broken codec & apply to the another working codec?

Because the MPPlus license is quite expensive, cost ~2000$ in my country.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

You should talk to your local Polycom dealer or polycom support directly.

As the mp license key is tied to the serial number of the broken codec, you are not able to transfer the key without help from plcm.

Thank you, Uwe.

I did contact some Polycom suppliers in my country (1 of them sold us the systems). They all answered that we have to buy a new MPPlus license. I just hoped they are wrong 😞

Hi there...

you should try to talk to polycom directly - maybe they untie your mp license when you can prove, that your vsx is really "dead".

it´s worth a try.
