I am having a problem with system...When I turn it on the I can see myself for about 15 secs then the screen goes blank(black). When people conference call me they can see me fine, we both can hear each other fine...I just cant see them or myself! I thought the system may be going in to sleep mode...when I click on any of the buttons on the remote during that 15 second period nothing happens. When booting the light goes from green to orange back and forth then to orange when it goes blank. This is very frustrating!

Has anybody ever had a problem like this before?

You should check your monitor settings on the vsx.

Maybe a second monitor is configured  and used for people video.

How is your display connected (s-video/scart or VGA) ?

I cant see what version is running. Its not responding to the remote control after boot up and then it just goes blank! I cant see a factory reset on this model either.

Thank you,

The VSX is configured with an s-video cable, the mic is directly plugged in. The polycom speaker is plugged in to the tv/monitor via PC in. The problem I have is that I can't check any setting, once it boots up it doesn't respond to the remote(I've changed the batteries) and then it just goes to sleep or off mode..even though the people in the conference can see and hear me perfectly. After rebooting it stays on for about 15-20 then there is a very faint noise that comes from the polycom system(almost like the sound when you turn on your TV for the first time) and thats when it goes blank/black.

Sounds like a hardware failure.

Have you tried to connect via a webbrowser ?

If you´re using DHCP, maybe your admin can tell you which one the VSX gets.

If that´s not working either, you could try to do a "erfl" on your machine. Just use the forum search, you´ll find results on that.

Try to aceess the system over web.
