I have 118 VSX 7000's that for some reason all locked up on Friday--prior to that we were encountering no symptoms.  We were unable to log in to the internet software and the units were having sporadic connection and drop off issues as well as locking up in midstream.  We could reach the units via telnet and ping times seemed normal.  When we powered the units off they would come back up and function properly.  Then after use they would start having the same symptoms.

We are replacing all of the units in mid May and know that our software version is out of date.  Is anyone else experiencing the same issues.

Is there a way to reset the units via telnet?

believe we found the issue.  someone is bombing our video network.  our HDX's can handle the hit but our VSX's can't.

When you say, "Reset system"...  Do you mean reboot or factory restore ?   If you just need to reboot, you can use the Telnet API command "Reboot" and it will cause the system to reboot.   Please check the VSX Integrators Reference Manual for exact format of the "reboot" command.

Devices will not allow me to telnet in.

Did any changes occur on Thursday-Friday that could be causing an issue with all of our end points?  Looking for a common culprit.

Sounds like someone changed some passwords on you....   Or maybe turned off Telnet.     Any changes would have had to have happened in your site/enterprise I suspect.

Good luck,
