VSX 8000 Has no sound on my end

Hi, I have a VSX 8000 setup and on the other end of a video call the people can hear and see me. I can see them but cannot hear them. I have a computer monitor setup through VGA and a TV screen setup through audio output and 8 pin mini din video output. Any suggestions?

You can test the local audio using the test features of the VSX.  See the Admin Guide available on-line for information on how to activate that.  got to www.polycom.com/videodocumentation to find it

 

Also I would recommend using external speakers, not the TV speakers, even if it is just for testing.
