Hi Team,

I would like to setup video call on 1/2Mb speed for better quality. Is there any way to configure Polycom VC device to accept and establish call with this speed. We have one HDX 8000 and two HDX 7000 in three different sites. We have setup preferred speed to 1024 and 786 but calls getting connected on 256Kb with 4CIF video format. We are not getting 720 or 1080 resolution as call connected on 4CIF only.

First we like to setup fixed speed for all call and secondly we want 720p or 1080p resolution.

Expert comment will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

how are you dialing?  is it from a stored directory entry?  is it set to the desired speeds?

Are you entering the number at the PAC (Place A Call) screen, are you selecting a speed there?

where did you set the preferred speeds?

Do you have any firewalls or gatekeepers that could be restricting the call speed in the network?

Do your network folks limit the speed?

Is your network prover restricting the speed?

Do have sufficient bandwidth on the links between your sites to support that data rate?  If not the systems will automatically downspeed to use a bandwidth that is supported.

Hi There,

We are dialing using dial pad. Manual entry all the time and some time through last dial call list. Preferred speed define in Network: Call Speeds as well as call preference. When we dial far end party call quality is already selected by default to 1024. We dont have any gatekeeper but we do have firewall and no restriction assign to it. We have sufficient bandwidth at sites to run video call at 1 mb speed. I am network engineer and i have not set any resrtiction to network. We have QoS configured and highest priority is audio and then video assign at all sites.

Thanks
