We've had an HDX 8000 for about three years, with most of our calls being through an RMX2000.  To accommodate a few people who couldn't make it to the video meetings, we've used the analog port on our HDX to join a teleconference at the same time.  Since the last software upgrade, we've been told that this requires the multipoint license to work, so I'm looking for alternatives.  How do others add audio-only participants to video calls?

I'm afraid you have received incorrect information. It has always been that when there is a video call in progress an audio call can be added through the POTS line without the need for the multipoint license. If you are having problems accomplishing this please give our help desk a call and open a ticket. We would be glad to discuss this with you. Polycom Support 888-248-4143
