group 500 calls to itself

Hi,

I have following issue. Video endpoint group 500 has assigned public IP address. Additional it works without any additional infrastructure but it often call to itself eg  I can see on display that 1002@x.x.x.x is calling my endpoint where x.x.x.x is my endpoint public IP address. How to resolve this issue?

Regards,

Mathew

Re: group 500 calls to itself

Hello Mathew,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The community's Video FAQ contains this post here:

Apr 07,2015 Question: How can I prevent Phantom calls to my Video Solution?

Answer: A local Firewall or a Polycom Firewall traversal solution can be utilized to stop this. In order to add this to a possible future Software version in the form of a whitelist please contact Luriep => here <= or Security Center: Security Bulletin Relating to Worldwide Botnet Dialing H.323-Capable Systems

Basically someone is trying to hack your end point to commit call fraud.
