have no monitor, anyway to configure the HDX9000 ip address? I tried to use laptop connect to HDX9000 seral port with Baud rate 9600, I thought it should be a console port for HDX basic configuration. But, it cannot establish the connection with serial port.

please advise how to config the ip address without the Monitor. thanks

Hi there...

install a DHCP server on your notebook or pc (try this one) and connect via lan cable directly to the hdx.

Check in the dhcp server tool which ip address the hdx has received.

Then enter the ip in your browser and open the hdx webinterface.

You´ll be asked for username and passwort:

username: admin

Password: by default the serial number of your hdx

Now you should be able to configure your codec.

Yes, the hdx, by default, will search for a DHCP server - there´s no ip address configured in the system.

Does the software assain IP from DHCP pool itself if no network avilable at site??

The HDX will search for a dhcp server by default.

If there´s one running on your notebook, which is directly connected, it will get an ip adress from that dhcp server - sure.
