trying to instal a 3rd HDX6000 in a branch office :

video connections are ok,

but no audio is coming through HDMI to tv.

his audio comes OK to me.

 

volume is wide open on tv and hdx6000.

my sound comes through on the test bars, but not on speakers.

nothing to hear when doing a speaker test in the speaker test.

connected a laptop to the same hdmi cable to tv : sound ok

 

please advise what can be wrong.

Hello Anthony,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

From the Admin Guide => here <=

 

When the video output format is set to HDMI, you can get audio output from the HDMI or RCA connectors.

When the video output format is set to DVI, you can get audio output from the RCA connectors only.

thanks a lot for the quick response.

i was looking for an audio setting, not thinking that the video setting could have influence on audio output also.
