The following is an excerpt from my directory file:

<directory>
	<item_list>
		<item>
			<fn>Reception</fn>
			<ln></ln>
			<lb>1</lb>
			<ct>1100</ct>
			<rt>3</rt>
			<ad>0</ad>
			<ar>0</ar>
		</item>

		<item>
			<fn>John</fn>
			<ln>Doe</ln>
			<lb>1</lb>
			<ct>1101</ct>
			<rt>default</rt>
			<ad>0</ad>
			<ar>0</ar>
		</item>
	</item_list>
</directory>

However, the "rt" parameter is not making any difference and it always applys the default ringtone. Any help is appreciated.

Hello ,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

ar 08, 2013 QuestionWhat files does my phone download or upload and why?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

The phone downloads the 000000000000-directory.xml ONCE once the is factory phone is factory reset and NEVER after that.

The phone will NEVER download the 000000000000-directory~.xml due to the ~ in its name. This is being added as a standard so the phone does not automatically download this example file.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
