I have an issue with a polycom duo. If i plug in the 2.5mm pc/mobile cable it immediately goes into pc mode.. I have tried several times of changing the firmware and logging into the web interface to change the setting to prompt, but nothing seems to fix this issue. Can anyone shed some light on how to get this resolved. I have tried some other things as well , but I want to see how deep the suggestions will be before attempting that again..
btw.. phone info below..
Thanks for any assistance.

Hello emb3dd3,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
I am quite sure this is the standard behaviour when plugging this cable into the Phone. What do you believe is the issue with that?

Hi and thanks for responding.
On the previous 2w and 2ex You had the option of selecting IP mode before the phone went into the pc/mobile phone mode. The advanced web configuration has an option for pclink, auto, mobile or prompt as an option. If nothing else it would be nice to be able to select the pc mode at the prompt instead of the phone automatically switching to pc mode and going into what appears as auto answer mode. Maybe there is an auto answer mode setting that I am missing somewhere ?
IMHO the phone should stay in the rest position unless the user physically wanted to select pc mode. What I am gathering is .. I have to leave the cable disconnected when I dont want the phone to auto answer in pc mode and plug in the cable when I want it to be my source in pc mode?
btw. I upgraded the phone to the latest firmware as well.

Hello emb3dd3d,
according to the User Guide for the SS Duo page 40 onwards => here <= this is working as designed.
I also quickly tested this with a SSIP7000 and the same happens.
Best Regards
