3PCC Reason Header in BYE message

3PCC Reason Header in BYE message

we currently have the problem that our Polycom phones do not play the busy tone if we use 3PCC (click2dial) and the called party is busy.

RFC3725 and RFC3326 recommend to add a reason header like this

Reason: SIP ;cause=486 ;text="Busy Here"

to the BYE message that is terminating the initial call.

If we implement this in the 3PCC component of our PBX, will it work with Polycom?

If not I'd open a feature request through our distributor.

Re: 3PCC Reason Header in BYE message

Hello Jan,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

I had a quick chat internally and do not believe we support this at present so a FR it is.

Best Regards
