650's sound to clear how can the High Def be reduced

650's sound to clear how can the High Def be reduced: we have clients saying it's so clear they can hear each other breath. i can't find any information on turning down, controlling or turning off the high def of the phones. Even Codec setting that may help control the high def tunneling sounds may help. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Hello Joe,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Your SIP Server can define the support for certain codecs.

 

In addition the Web Interface can be used to change the availability for certain codecs and their order of offering.

 

In UCS 4.0.3 for example via Settings > Audio Codec Priority
