We have been testing this phone within our business for roughly a week now and there are 4 points that we really need to look into to see if this is a phone issue or our infrastructure.

  1. When signing into the phone for the first time as a new user the phone will take about 4 minutes to log in and become functional, this isn’t acceptable as it should be almost instant <10seconds.
  2. Logging off takes roughly 1 minute
  3. When connected to the PC and the Lync client is running on the PC, if I sign out of the PC client the CX3000 does not sign out and stays signed in. The phone should log off if the client is terminated?
  4. If the phone is disconnected from power when a user is logged in, when powered on again the user that was last signed in is automatically logged in.

In our eyes these 4 points are major decision factors as our clients will expect none of these.

With regards to the user not signing off, this is a security issue and is a major concern for us.

What is the communities thoughts on these issues?

Regards,

Rory

Hello Rory,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

All answers to your below questions are working as designed and cannot be changed to my knowledge.

An important information to know is that all LYNC ready / Designed for LYNC phones => here <= have to fulfill specific qualifications and in the case of our Microsoft LYNC CX phones are actually running an optimized embedded Lync client application on the phone.

You could look at our compatible with LYNC phone range provided by Polycom but again some of the features have to work within Microsoft specification.

I would suggest you contact a Polycom reseller and/or Polycom sales to discuss this further.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards
