We've VVX 600 with UC Software Version 5.0.1.4068 registering against Lync 2010.

The key sequence to trasfer a call to a Lync contact is less than ideal, from the active call:

  1. Transfer
  2. Home
  3. Directories
  4. Contact

I'd like to add a softkey to the screen following the 'Transfer' softkey selection.

An action of $FDirectories$$FDialpad4$ would take users directly to the directory.

As you hear dialtone at that stage I assumed that softkey.x.use.dialtone = 1 would add the key but it does not, use.idle, use.hold and use.active all work as expected. It does apper when offhook (dialtone) but not during trasfer.  Is there something I'm missing?

Thanks,

James

Hello James,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

In the Transfer or Conference state we do not have the ablity to display a softkey. This is the current intended design.

A "workaround" could be below:

<Change
feature.enhancedFeatureKeys.enabled="1"
softkey.1.action="$FTransfer$$FDirectories$$FDialpad4$"
softkey.1.enable="1"
softkey.1.label="Lync Dir."
softkey.1.use.active="1" />

Nov 25, 2011 Question: How can I change the functionality of a softkey button / use EFK?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Above contains additional information in regards to the EFK's if you want to place them at a different position.

Please ensure you have the sufficient LYNC licenses purchased as explained below.

Please be aware of the following when utilizing UCS 4.1.0 or later:

The use of Polycom UC Software versions 4.1.X (“Software”) requires the purchase of a separate Software license for every device that will use the Software in a Lync environment. You may not install, access, or use the Software in a Lync environment on more devices than are listed on your license until additional licenses have been purchased and authorized by Polycom. These licenses should be purchased from the same company from which you purchased the devices. You may operate devices against a Lync server for trial purposes for up to 30 days without purchasing a license. Use of the Software is subject to the terms and conditions of the End User License Agreement.

Polycom reserves the right to audit your deployment to verify that you have sufficient licenses to match the number of devices being used.

Information in regards of License Part Numbers can be found => here <=

Key is configured as:

softkey.2.enable="1"
softkey.2.label="Lync Dir."
softkey.2.use.dialtone="1"
softkey.2.action="$FDirectories$$FDialpad4$"
softkey.2.use.idle="1"
softkey.2.insert="2"
softkey.2.use.hold="1"
softkey.2.use.active="1"

I've attached some screen captures from a CX600, you can see the softkey displaying and not. I didn't include a screenshot of it displaying with a call on hold or active but it does.

Thanks.

That was the same solution I came up with except I labeld my key as 'Xfer to Lync'

Hello James,

My Softkey automatically uses the Transfer functionality:

softkey.1.action="$FTransfer$$FDirectories$$FDialpad4$"

In your example you did not do this:

softkey.2.action="$FDirectories$$FDialpad4$"
