We have a conference room that is too large for the VTX1000 and two remote wired mics we are using.  We can't afford Soundstructure solutions.  I am a bit confused by the possible configurations of the IP7000.  If I daisy chain two IP7000 base stations, can I put two remote mics on EACH IP7000 or can I only have two TOTAL remote mics?

Is there a better low-cost solution for a O-shaped table configuration with approx 30-40 attendees who could all be talking?

Hello BillyBob,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

From a Polycom product perspective you can either use:

  • Connecting Microphones to a Single Phone Setup
You can attach up to two analog expansion microphones or two Polycom Microphone Arrays to a single phone setup. You can daisy-chain two Polycom Microphone Arrays. You cannot daisy-chain analog expansion microphones.

  • Connecting Microphones to a Two-Phone Setup
You can attach up to two analog expansion microphones or one Polycom Microphone Array to a two-phone setup. You can connect an analog expansion microphone to just one of the phones, or connect an analog expansion microphone to each phone. You can connect a Polycom Microphone Array to one phone only; you cannot connect a Polycom Microphone Array to each phone.
