Hello,

I updated my VVX400 to 5.5.0.20556 and works with Broadsoft.

In Broadsoft i created a busy lamp list, the list is correct working on my phone. I Also have Call Waiting off in Broadsoft so i don't have second calls on my phone..

A new feature (or bug) on the 5.5.0  is that the call waiting beep is back when i am on a call and a phone of my blf list is ringing.

On 5.4.4 there was no beep.

Does anyone know where i can switch off the beep?

Thanks!

Hello Arjan,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The UC Admin Guide contains this:

  • If 1, the normal or automatic call appearance is spontaneously presented to the attendant when calls are alerting on
    a monitored resource (and a ring tone is played).
  • If 0, the call appearance is not spontaneously presented to the attendant.

This is for these Parameters:

  • attendant.behaviors.display.spontaneousCallAppearances.normal
  • attendant.behaviors.display.spontaneousCallAppearances.automata

Do you have these set ?

Hi Steffen, thanks for the help!

I downloaded the config from the provisioning server and the VVX (Backup).

The sollution was near the attendant behavior fields in the config:

call.callWaiting.enable="1"
call.callWaiting.ring="beep"

Changed it to

call.callWaiting.enable="0"
call.callWaiting.ring="beep"

and the problem was solved. No annoying beep anymore and the BLF is working fine.

(the config on the provisioning server was not updated with this rules, so the phone uses default 1)

Hello Arjan,

thanks for the update but I still would have liked to see this escalated via a support ticket as the BLF should not cause a call waiting tone.

We already have an internal ticket VOIP-118731 for the BroadWorks platform on this but without looking at an individual case and configuration / call platform it may be related or not.

In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you. In case this is some sort of an Internet discounter please post your phone's MAC address so I can look up who would be able to support you.
