I'm current running a Color Expansion UNIT on a VVX 310 running 5.4.4.4281 and for some reason when I'm adding more than 23 users through Broadsoft Client settings the expansion goes blank.  I remove all and re-add and again once I hit adding user 24 the color expansion removes all 23 existing BLFs.

I have enough Link Keys built out to represent the BLFS in the config so I dont think thats the issue.   I checked with broadsoft and max BLFs are 50 users...   Regardless I would think I could display up to 50 at least.   Any advice?  Below is my config file for the line keys.

Thanks

Chris

Hello Chris,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Lets start with some simple questions and findings:

  • Does this workw without using flexible line keys ?
  • The limit is 50 yet you specified 58 ?
  • Is this all your config ? I yes where is the attendant.uri ?

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Thanks Steffen for the response...

I have tried both default conifg to where I did not modify the linkeys and still i get the same result.  Any more than 23 BLFs my sidecar goes blank.  I'm attaching both full configs  1) default a and 2) my custom which pushes all BLF's to the sidecar.

I'm not sure where I specified 58???   I said broadsoft will not allow more than 50 total.  I'm only trying to get 30 to show on my sidecar.  Regardless if 50 is the max I still should be able to get 50.   I'm pulling 23 but anything I add over that the Side Car goes blank.

Thanks again for the support

Chris

Hello Chris,

As this is affecting a customer of yours I suggest you open a ticket.

In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you. In case this is some sort of an Internet discounter please post your phone's MAC address so I can look up who would be able to support you.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Thanks but that could end up taking forever having to go through my phone vendor.... Do you see anything out of the norm with my configs I posted?

Hello Chris,

no nothing pops out but as usual I would start with a minimal config. As you only posted the BroadSoft config and not what the phone actually loads its hard to tell.

Not sure why you assume a escalation to our support team would take forever but that is the only way you can receive support.

Hi Steffen,

I kicked it to our Vendor who I buy my Polycom's from however no ide how long their response will take.  I did reach out to broadsoft and made an adjustment to this "<attendant attendant.reg="1" attendant.uri="sip:XXXX_BLF@XXXX.com=TCP" />

They stated packets could be getting fragmented and by manually changing the transport to TCP it should clear the issue.  I did do the above but still I'm experiaicing the issue.

It did not state that the physical device needs to be set to TCP.   Do you know if I need to change my device to TCP as well?  Its currently set to UDP...

Thanks

Chris
