Hello

My 1st post here... 🙂

So I'm going to purchase a used IP 5000 unit, besides being working properly, what other concerns should I be aware of...on a used unit.

Thank you in advance.

Hello Achilles2013,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

As this would not have any wear and tear I would just suggest that you ensure that the prior user has not changed the Admin Password or at least provides this when selling the unit as Polycom does not publicly disclose how to reset this.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Thanks Steffen

I'm new to this,so be patient...So why I can't factory reset it,we can do with our phones, which is way more sensetive(private) than this.

Hello Achilles2013,

We do not disclose within this official Polycom community how to reset the Phones if the Admin Password is lost/changed.

Many of our partners utilize these phones and offer subsidized services so we cannot publicly disclose the procedure to do so in order to protect their investment.

We will remove any post that will publicly explain how to remove/reset the password.

A factory reset is a procedure that will require the admin Password (456) so ensure if the previous owner changed this that they supply you with this.

Best Regards
