We are facing a typical issue with CX 700 registered with Lync 2010 .

when ever a user dials a number there is a delay or rather it gives 6 - 7 beeps and then starts dialing .

I read in some of the blogs that this might be because of  edge server connectivity.

But im  able to ping the edge server from the same network.

pls revert .

regards,

Magesh .

Hello Magesh,

I am not aware of what you call a typical LYNC issue as per your description as you have not provided any detailed information on your setup.

Usually anyone attempting to help you would at least need to know the software version of the CX700 and what kind of setup on the LYNC side you have.

The only delay that I am aware off using LYNC is when utilizing a response group. This is a known issue and Microsoft introduced some comfort tones on their end to work around this.

Please be aware that the Software on the CX700 is developed and supported by Microsoft and any troubleshooting attempts should be consolidated with Microsoft directly.

If you want to check for issues yourself I would suggest you start the LYNC logging tool and make a test call and then check against the created logs.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards
