Hello,

I have a new Polycom CX100 and want to use it with our Lync2013 environment on Windows 8.1.

When I plug in the device the ring is on orange for a short time and the following message comes up:

USB device not recognized

The last USB device you cennected to this computer

malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it.

In the device manager I can see in Universal Serial Bus controllers

Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)

What can I do to get this thing to work?

Thank you for any reply.

Best Regards

Thomas

Hello Thomas,

Polycom produce these optimized for Microsoft® Lync® devices and all the drivers required to run these is provided, supported and maintained by our partner Microsoft®.

Usualy the device drivers should come with Windows 8.1 or the LYNC Client itself.

You therefore may want to reach out to the Microsoft® community and / or Microsoft® support directly instead as this is the most direct and efficient path.

Please try here

Best Regards

Steffen Baier
