Hi all,

We have been receiving new CX3000 phones with 4.0.7577.4372 already loaded on them. They phones will not register to our Lync pool as a common area phone using PIN auth. We can register the phone in a tethered mode and it will work just fine. If we register the phone tethered and allow it to downgrade to our currently released software rev of 4.0.7577.4100, it will then be able to register as a common area phone using PIN auth.

The work around is OK, but we are looking to send these phones to several of our customers locations in different countries and will not be able to touch them before they get sent. I am trying to understand if this is just a unique situation or if there are more people running into the same thing. Has anyone ran into a similar issue with this release of software on the CX3000 phones?

Thanks for any input,

Ken Braley
