Hi all,

I was hoping somebody on these forums could help with a query of mine.

I am currently using a Polycom CX5500 with a MAC (Windows 7/10 isn't an option right now).  Very happy with the latest firmware update of 1.3, which added panoramic support for MAC (see attached image).

Is it possible to resize/move the panoramic view on a MAC?  In Windows you get seperate video sources (Active Speaker and Panoramic room) - If these options were available on MAC, this would be perfect.  I am using Wirecast to capture the image, and stream it.

Thanks!

Mike

Hello Mike,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

I believe the next 1.3.1 version for the CX brings an option where you can disable the panoramic view overlay, and the device will only send active speaker video to Mac client.

Please check the support page after I make the announcement that the 1.3.1 version is live.

HI Steffen,

Thanks for your response sir.

I don't want to disable the panoramic view overlay..   I want to keep it - I just want to have the ability to move/resize it - and I feel the only way this will be possible is if you were to implement the ability to have both as seperate cameras like you have on Windows.

This way, in Wirecast, I would be able to add 2 different cameras sources (Active Speaker & Panoramic), which I will be able to resize/move myself.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Mike

Hello Mike,

I do not believe this is currently possible. You would need to work with your Polycom reseller on a feature request.
