We currently have a very large CX600 environment (3500+ handsets) and with the recent problems with the CU7 update affecting a particular hardware revision, I have been asked to ensure that all the different hardware revisions are covered as part of the device testing programming.  Would it be possible to get assistance on the following questions:

1. Can you advice how the revision identifiers are (i.e Rev N, M, B, etc) and is there anywhere that we can obtain a updated list of these.

2. Can the hardware revisions be identified in some way which will not necessitate multiple site visits, to check sticky labels.  I was hoping that the MAC address could be used in some way to identify these.

Many thanks

Keith

Hello Keith,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Wouldn't the device overview at => Clients Device Update within LYNC show some kind of revision overview?

Usually the real hardware revision is printed on the back of the Unit and I am not aware if we fully match this information against the named above as we usually utilize letters.

You may want to take this up with your Polycom reseller via the official channels.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hi

What I wanted to do was located he different revisions that we in my enviroment and then add those to the Lync Test Devices.  I suppose it will require a walk around.

In relation to the different hardware revisions available, is it possible to get a list of those?  I've send D, M and N - but sure there are more.  Also would be useful to know when these where issued.

Hello Keith,

as proposed earlier, please work with your Polycom reseller as I am unaware if we do supply such list to external parties.
