I have had more than 12 hook switch failures on the CX600 sets.  The phone will then only work in Handsfree which is unacceptable.  What is the problem and why are so many failing?  A few more months and we will be out of warranty.  We had Nortel ip sets here before and didn't have this many failures in 8 years of service.  Is there some sort of recall on a batch of these phones or a known issue we should know about?

I would recommend to work with your reseller in order to get an RMA issued.

We have the same phones where I work and are having the same problem.  Over the last 8 months, hook switches on 10 of 60 phones have failed.  And the support we've gotten has been terrible.  Conducting phone conversations with customers over a speaker is not good.

Your first Line support is your Polycom Reseller. They will escalate into our Tier 2 support.

 

Any issues like this need to be tracked properly and I can only advise you to work with your reseller to bring this to our attention.
