Hi,

My problem - whenever I am on the phone and another call comes in, my phone automatically mutes my first caller.  When I try to transfer to the second call, there is also silence; and when I try to go back to the first call, there is likewise silence. So, I basically have to hang up and lose BOTH calls. I have been told by the first caller that they can hear my voice, but I can't hear theirs. It's rather frustrating and I've lost a bit of business as a result. Any suggestions?

Hello cy,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The SPIP50 is an older endpoint that may be running an older Software.

Due me not knowing your current software level I suggest to check the latest (at present SIP 3.1.8) release notes => here <= in order for you to check for any fixes that may have been added.

A good start is always to ensure the phone is running the latest Software so I suggest you check the VoIP FAQ section as many of post's within there may be of interest to you.

If all fails after ensuring the above please contact Polycom support => here <= but you will be charged PPI as the unit is most likely out of warranty.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
