Hi all ,

we are using Polycom SoundStation 4000,6000,7000 in Our Conference Room . We are using Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise 10.0 Version .

Whenever we are making phone calls from the Polycom Conference Phones, the calls are getting disconnected after 3 secs. All the phones are SIP Based phones.

Can anyone suggest me the further action to proceed?. Please confirm whether Polycom conference phones are compatiable with Alcatel EPBX or not.

Regards,

Ashokkumar

Hello AshokkumarB,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

I am aware that there has been  Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Interoperability testing for the SoundStation IP 6000 and 7000 but for any specific issue you would have to liaise directly with Alcatel.

Our Phones follow the SIP standard and the FAQ has a basic registration advise here:

Oct 7, 2011 Question: Can I register or is my Polycom Phone compatible with a “XYZ” SIP Server?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

The easiest way to troubleshoot this from your perspective is to run a Softphone like XLite and test your Alcatel SIP credentials with this and make a call whilst running a wireshark trace.

Then use the SoundStation IP phone and repeat the test whilst running a spanned port to capture the SIP traffic via wireshark and compare the two results.

The first step in troubleshooting something like this should almost always be to capture packets to/from the phone and to/from the key system, so that you can narrow down the problem.
