When configuring line keys, when I add a hard phone extension to a key with category BLF, the BLF monitor works correctly, but when I use a softphone extension, I get an x mark next to the person icon on the phone panel, so it works as a speed dial to the softphone extension, but not as a BLF monitor.

What else do I need to do to setup a softphone extension as BLF? Is it possible?

My config is similar to this, in this example I have 2 hardphone extensions and 1 softphone extension.

Hello @40love ,

Welcome back to the Poly community.

Some or a couple of your old post(s) or reply(s) to them >here< are still open/pending as you have not marked these as "Accept as a solution" or at least provide some form of feedback or answer.

If they are in this state nobody finding them via a community search will know if an answer or advice provided was useful and has maybe helped you.

Could you therefore kindly go over them and mark or answer as appropriate?

If they are marked as "Accept as a solution" other users can find these easier and it helps them to utilize the community more efficiently.

Please do not simply mark them without any type of feedback.

For your new issue, you have not provided the minimum required information outlined in our ReadMeFirst or the FAQ. I am unsure what you mean by softphone and hardphone so I can only recommend you start reading up on this:

By softphone I mean a software phone. By hardphone I mean a desk Polycom phone (hardware phone). Do you know if it's possible to set up an extension softphone as a BLF key?

Hello @40love ,

I cannot tell you if a softphone supports either buddy watch or BLF. I can only outline our FAQ on how you can check and try and troubleshoot this.

Best Regards
