Hello,

I have a client with a PBXInAFlash server and about 50 IP331 phones running 3.3.x firmware.

I would like to change the hardware Line2 button to toggle their Day/Night control, and if possible, use the lamp to indicate which mode that is in effect.

I have seen mutliple articles about setting that key for messages, but nothing about day/night.

The key would have to dial *281, and (from what I have read), if the key is set up as type BLF, it will show either red or green depending on mode.

Is this possible to set via the key.IP_330.10.function.prim setting?

Also, for the messaging example, it was suggested to make this change to the sip.cfg file.  Wouldn't that then affect ALL IP331 phones?  Can that setting be placed in a SIP<mac>.cfg file and only affect the phones that I want it to?

Thanks for any and all help that you can give.

Hello ,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

We encourage all users to read the Welcome Post, the FAQ and use the Forum Search.

I would suggest you check our FAQ as it answeres all questions you have asked. Running UCS 3.3.x or newer would usually not require a sip.cfg or a phone1.cfg

Above is all described in the FAQ.

Another community member may reply but if you are stuck feel free to work with your clients Polycom reseller or contact our Support team but you may get charged PPI.

The SIP Server provider may also be contacted for support regarding the implementation of their features with our hardware.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
