Hi,

I have three queries on CX 600

1) Can we assign IP manually on cx600??

2) How to upgrade software/firmware of CX600??

3) Is there any tool available to configure CX600 similar to CX5000 management tool available for CX5000?

Answers are appreciated

Thank You

Anees

Hello Anees,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The Polycom CX phone range is a reference design based on a Microsoft development and is working as designed by our Partner Microsoft.

This results in certain limitations as DHCP requirements or other restrictions.

  • To my knowledge there is no way to manually assign a IP address to the phone other that a DHCP reservation.

  • The upgrade of the  Lync Phone Edition Software is completely controlled by the LYNC server and Microsoft documentation should be consulted.

  • There are no configuration tools and the CX5000 and the CX phone range cannot be compared as the CX5000 requires a PC LYNC client where the CX phones can be standalone.

More flexible configuration options can be found in our Polycom Qualified Lync Phone range.
