We have scrapped our Lync voice project and are going with another solution.  We have purchased various VVX models which were preconfigured or licensed to be used with Lync.  Can we use these phones on a non-Lync system?

Hello MNiswonger,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

As already responded by Peter you simply factory reset the Phone and then change the Base Profile to Generic.

The Multiple Key Combination for the VVX is 1,4 and 9 together.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Yes. You can use these VVX phones you've already purchased on a non-Lync system.  There is no differnce in the phone except for how it is configured out-of-the-box.

If your phones were ordered with the Lync VVX SKU, they will be pre-configured for connecting to a Lync server out of the box instead of OpenSIP. You'll need to change configuration to setting to OpenSIP.

If your phones were ordered without the Lync specific VVX SKU with the additional required Polycom Lync license (for use with Lync), these phones are still configured for OpenSIP out of the box.
