Hello Polycom community

my app log is filled with the message

[...]|pps |5|03|*** Cannot En-Queue Pps Message (0x501d) ***

I was unable to find any useful information regarding this message.

What is a pps Message, what does it mean to "En-queue" such a message and what might be reasons why it's unable to do so?

Thanks for your help

Hello tmmVoice,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

We usually do not disclose the meaning of this Log messages as they are for internal usage when troubleshooting.

I would suggest to raise a case with your Polycom reseller in order to bring this to Polycom Supports attention so the correct troubleshooting can be done.

You will need to provide the following:

  • Wireshark Trace of the Phone booting up until issue is reproduced (if reproducible)
  • Phone Configuration files
  • <mac>-app.log and <mac>-boot.log as a complete set (via Syslog or FTP server with append allowed)

Looking into our internal database it could be a malformatted INVITE being received.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Thanks for your reply. After some more tampering I noticed that I had simply forgotten to change the SIP Port from 5060 to 5061 when I switched from TCP to TLS. The message did not occur anymore after I changed it.
